BLACK FAMILY DAY CAMPING TRIP 2016

One of the favorite highlights of the year for families of the Jack and Jill of Orange County Chapter is the Black Family Day Camping Trip held at Carlsbad State Beach. It’s that one time of the year when the young and old can unplug from their electronics and enjoy good old-fashioned quality time socializing and creating lasting bonds. During Black Family Day, children rode their bikes and scooters, played games, and made multiple visits to the general store each day to purchase sweets, treats, and souvenirs. The adults listened to music, enjoyed good food and beverages, and interacting with meaningful conversations. With the beach being just a few steps away, families could take a stroll anytime they wanted or take a dip in the beautiful ocean. On Saturday evening, all families and friends gathered for the Saturday night feast that satisfied everyone. Before departing home on Sunday, mothers got together early in the morning for meditation and inspiration. It was the perfect way to end such a wonderful weekend with family and friends. We look forward to Black Family Day 2017!
